About Us
Founder and CEO Patty Prange has worked in the senior care industry for over 30 years. Prior to starting Tender Hearts HomeCare in January, 2013, Patty owned two home health care agencies, Caring Touch HomeCare and Caring Touch Helping Hands, for nearly 10 years. Caring Touch HomeCare was a California-licensed, Medicare-certified agency that provided registered nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists and medical social worker services to seniors in their homes. Caring Touch Helping Hands was a non-medical agency that provided the services that Tender Hearts HomeCare provides. After her daughter was born, Patty sold Caring Touch HomeCare and Caring Touch Helping Hands to be a stay at home mom. While raising her daughter, Patty continued to consult other agencies on how to start up and operate their home health care agencies.
Patty's focus has always been on the quality of care provided, safety and customer service.
As a young woman, Patty cared for her own mother which spurred her interest in providing the best possible care for those who need assistance while living at home. Patty is a very active advocate for seniors and others who need care at home.
Patty is very involved in her community. She is a member of the La Cañada Kiwanis Club, on the board of ASTER (Assisting Seniors Through Enhanced Resources), a member of the La Cañada Flintridge, Crescenta Valley and Montrose Chambers of Commerce, member of CAHSAH (California Association of Health Services At Home), and a committee member for the Senior Healthy Living committee at the Crescenta-Cañada and Verdugo YMCAs. Patty founded and runs the highly-regarded Senior Healthy Living Expo in the Foothills. She is also a featured speaker at Doc Talks, the Braille Institute, many senior centers throughout the Foothills, San Fernando and San Gabriel Valleys, and other senior venues.
Patty is the mother of a teenage daughter in college and lives in La Cañada Flintridge, CA.
